Our small group training blends five class types - balancing cardio, strength, form, and control - in a welcoming, supportive space.

No pressure. Just effective, enjoyable workouts that work for your life and your goals.

We are confident you will love what we do, but we don’t underestimate that it can feel like a big decision to start something new.

“From the moment I met Laura on my gym tour I knew I was in good hands. Three months later I’m stronger than I’ve ever been and feeling really good for it.”

Sam D.

Portrait of a smiling young man outdoors with trees in the background, wearing a teal jacket.

Eight years ago, I wasn’t someone who exercised regularly. I didn’t feel fit, and the thought of a HIIT session filled me with dread. I was convinced I’d be rubbish and I was scared of feeling like the “new person” who didn't belong.

I finally worked up the courage to start and as I started moving more, things began to shift. Not only did I start feeling physically stronger, but I started feeling mentally stronger too

I realised I didn’t have to be good at everything. I just had to keep showing up. And the more I did, the better I got.

But I hated the messaging that gyms are purely there for weight loss and the endless "before and after" photos. I was more interested in how exercise made me feel rather than how I looked.

So I created Fitness in Mind to be something completely different in the face of traditional gyms.

A space where movement feels enjoyable, where progress is personal and not judged on a scale, and where fitness is for longevity not for punishment.

So if you've ever felt “I’m not a gym person” or “exercise isn’t for me”, I’ve been there and you're welcome here.

The hardest part is walking through the door. We’re here to make sure that when you do, you feel like you’re right where you belong.
